Nice to have lost a little more weight! Does that mean another prosecco on holiday?

Our lawn mower came out today, too, and has definitely seen better days, though it still cuts the grass. I wonder if the neighbours were watching, because the handle kept trying to fold up, resulting in me pushing it at some very strange angles! I suggested to DH that we get an old-fashion donkey-drawn machine as I like donkeys.
We decided if we had a donkey, we wouldn't need a lawn mower - so I'll throw that suggestion out in case you don't have enough to cope with.
It sounds as though things may have improved a little for your friend. I do hope so. What a worrying time for everyone who knows her.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Happy April folks

The new lawnmower has been declared brilliant by Mr SA. It cut the grass perfectly in no time at all, is lightweight for him and no cable to cut through. The garden looks a lot better already and he's happy with his new toy
Didn't do anything for Mother's Day, never do really. DD was at work and I saw DS on Saturday. DD bought me an orchid plant - I think she's got shares in an orchid farm as I've still got the last one she bought me in the window exactly the same, same pot as well. DS got me some Prosecco.
Had a really busy day yesterday, sorted out my spring/summer/holiday clothes/sandals, was really ruthless and filled a charity bag - anything I wasn't sure I still liked went in there plus any uncomfortable sandals. Cleaned the whole house, did the finances and meal plan and finished my book. At least it was a NSD.
Went for a run in the gym at lunchtime and tonight is AFD1 of April.
It's the last week of the spends budget this week and things are tight as a drum but do-able. Going to be super strict this week.
Had an email from Scottish Power saying they're putting down my DD payment by £50 a month. I thought it was an April Fool's but have checked my account and I'm over £300 in credit. Still a bit twitchy at the vast difference in payment though, will monitor and see how it goes. This is the first reading from the smart meter but looking back over my account I was in credit before I got it fitted.
Here's to a good April for us all

I wouldn't argue with Scottish Power - £50 more available a month is great! I agree it's a big jump, though.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Well done on being debt free :money::beer:
I’m pleased Mr S is happy with his new toy and keeps the grass neatly mowed for you. Did you finish the things you wanted doing in the garden last year or are they ongoing.

Milann - our garden is always ongoing!
Happy Wednesday folks
Not a lot to report, yesterday was AFD2 of April and I went to yoga. Tonight I have a cheeky glass of wine and have been to Pilates
Mr SA is stressing about his blood test results next Wednesday so have booked the day as work at home so I can go with him. Best I do really as he won't take anything in.
Still hanging in there budget wise, had a Mr M shop delivered today but have used £20 in vouchers towards this which has helped massively. New budget starts Monday and I need to be more careful going forwards and not spend the majority of it on "bargains" in the first two weeks.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
