Have spent most of the day cleaning, washing and ironing. What a fantastic warm sunny day!

Finances done, all ok thankfully. Miraculously came back with €70 which I'll roll over for the next holiday - hopefully around April. Already had a cheeky peek at Jet2 website for prices while I've got the rain check voucher :)

Going to tackle the garden tomorrow if the weather is still ok. The weeds have taken over while I've had my back turned.

DD has been off work today - she finally got up for breakfast at 3pm! She's officially the world's oldest teenager!

Mr SA's phone still not working :( DD has advised buying him a second hand one from eBay, she thinks it'll be cheaper than having it repaired.

Every time I sat down today Mr SA asked me to sort out his phone, make him lunch or take the dog out. Never mind he was just sat there watching TV!! Made me glad I'm not old enough to retire yet, it would drive me crazy being at home all day with him, I'd either end up in prison for murder or in a home for the bewildered!

  • If it makes you feel any better, I have a friend who is in the same resort you were in (it was so funny seeing you both checking in to the same place on FB). Anyway, it’s been raining today :p Xx

That's made me feel better, especially when the weather here is so good. There was talk of Storm Leslie (I think?) approaching when we were there. LOL I bet we probably passed your friend in the street :)

  • I hope you didn't take any notice of Mr SA's many requests. He is getting very lazy! It's good that you had good weather for your first day at home :).

You’ve had a lovely day for the garden today. Me SA is indeed getting lazy. Hope you managed a bit of a rest. Bet it was good coming home to your newly decorated house. Are you all done on that front now.

Ooh a man who cooks for you, not jealous at all :) Only one more room to decorate now, the spare room, but no rush. Need to finish living room though - TV and cushions.

Have spent most of the afternoon faffing about with Mr SA's phone. It keeps buzzing but won't come on. Sigh :(

Then he asked me if I could draw out his gold chain money tomorrow. I asked him what for, he said he didn't know. Reminded him he would be walking around with £120 in his (new!!) wallet which is very scary considering his carelessness and easy come easy go attitude. Also reminded him he probably needs a new phone.

    Aargh  :(

Or tell him it will HAVE to go towards repair/new phone. If he always gets his own way he'll never be any different.... although I do understand giving in for the sake of peace. ((hugs))

I agree. It should go towards a new phone.

Have sorted Mr SA out with a brand new phone paying out no more than he is now for his sim only contract :) He's chosen the phone himself - unbelievably he wanted a flip open one, I didn't realise they still existed! However, he only really uses his phone to make calls and take photos. Went through Tesco mobile and I had to speak to them mostly as they couldn't understand him.

At the same time I upgraded my phone and will be paying more out a month than I am at the moment but it will be worth it. As it's been playing up a lot recently I'd rather do it sooner rather than later. I've had my current phone for 5 years now (iPhone 4) so have had my money's worth. I've upgraded to iPhone 7 the larger one.

Both phones are coming tomorrow - so that's my job for tomorrow setting up phones.

Mr SA still keeps asking for his chain money. I've told him I'll keep it in the bank until he sees something he really needs. It's burning a hole in his pocket. He said if he can't have the cash then he'll have his chain back - too late mate! Honestly he behaves like a 2 year old sometimes! If I gave in and let him have the cash he'd just fritter it away on beer or coffee - I might suggest he buys a lawn mower with it.

He's done absolutely nothing today. We took the dog on the park across the road this morning then he sat and watched TV until lunchtime. After lunch he slept. The garden is a mess, leaves everywhere, weeds sprouting up all over and the grass needs cutting desperately. I did the weeding anyway in between ironing, cleaning and unpacking the suitcases.

The weather was lovely again most of today but has just gone rather dark, must be the storm on its way.
