Moving from Virgin Media to BT

I come out of contract from Virgin on the 17th of March, I am paying far too much to Virgin for what I get (£48 for 100Mbps, Basic TV and Weekend Calls) and I have noticed that BT have some excellent deals at the moment (£29.99 for 52Mbps and Infinity TV but also £125 Reward Card and £105 TCB taking it down to £23 a month after activation fees etc.).
The quandry I have is that the reward card offer is only definitely on until the end of January and I know they don't offer this deal all of the time, do you think it is worth booking this in now given I can choose an installation date of the 14th of March?
I will be able to give notice to Virgin in mid February so I am banking on them not coming back with a better offer. Also, if I was to port my phone number will I attract cancellation fees from Virgin for porting 3 days before my contract end date?

If you initiate a cancellation with Virgin then you won't be able to port your number over.
Also since the Fibre isn't delivered by the phone line, when your number ports out from Virgin you need to inform them to cancel the BB and TV as they are separate products.
You may be able to specify a later installation date of March - but you won't know until making the application0 -
The. U view box is dire compared to the V6.0
