    Afternoon all,
I didn't sleep very well last night, too many thoughts running through my brain. So it will probably be early to bed tonight.
Anyway as the sun was shining we decided to go a wandering and call in for the promised afternoon tea. We tried to put the cheque from yesterday in first, in the bank in the next village but to no avail, alas it's now a funeral home  When did that happen ? So afternoon tea it was um  ....... not on your nellie ! Mr Fix It was too hungry to wait till 2pm and so we ended up with 2 cooked lunches, I had cod and chips and he had a chicken curry, for £2 extra. They were delicious :D. Day 2 of the diet's going well then :rotfl:.
After lunch we eventually found a bank open to deposit the cheque :T, then carried on our tour around the Skenfrith / Monmouth area, admiring the beautiful scenery. We seem not to appreciate what's on our own doorstep sometimes :(.
Now I'm chez nous, partaking of a coffee and trying to think of something low cal for tea. I might just have some fruit later. Mr Fix It will have his usual crackers, but is at present checking the inside of his eyelids and snoring very loudly !
Hope everyone has had a good day. Take care of yourselves.

    Hi everyone,

Haven’t yet read any of today’s posts but thought I would pop in. Another 3 bags of items to cs including 50% of my bed linen:j 3 unused tea-towels, a large glass cake stand and most importantly 37 flavoured tea tea-bags for the young woman who runs the shop. She doesn’t like coffee, gave up sugar & is lactose intolerant so flavoured tea is the only thing she drinks. :)

For tea we have just finished last night’s sweet potato soup & the last garlic baguette from the freezer.
Supper will be Hairy Bikers Lincolnshire Plum Bread with butter & cheddar cheese.

    See you later

    MrsSD:)
