After quite a time when nearly all study notifications were already full, and no successful studies at all, today I have had a record seven successful studies and three have already paid.

Every time I've had a notification today (about seven or eight times) the study has been full already. I'm new to this thread. Are people using automatic accept extensions or something.

I'm not sure how it works, or why, but very often, and even when a good number of places seem to be available, when clicked on to start straight away, the Study is already full.

This morning I was on line on Prolific and, in front of my very eyes, a new study became available with over 40 places available.  I clicked on it instantly when it appeared and it was already full.  This has happened when there seemed to be more than 100 places available.   Sometimes a place seems to be reserved (successfully) and after starting straight away, a notice comes up asking for it to be Returned as it is no longer available or, again, it is already full. Clicking immediately, or even being able to "start" does not always secure  place.

It does not seem to make any difference if the "available" study is notified through Prolific Assistant or if, as also happens, it just appears as being available.  As I said, I am not sure how this happens but maybe someone on here with more experience will be able to say

Don't  be discouraged, RobNNN, because you will eventually manage to secure places on some studies.

(UPDATE:  I just clicked on an available study and attempted to start immediately.  This notice came up:  "Error
Sorry, you cannot participate in this study at this time. We apologise for the inconvenience. Your account is in good standing.")

I managed to do one study earlier. Prolific has gone weird though. Studies can appear but be impossible to access (full???) and I've even seen one repeating several times in a list. I'm beginning to think there may be technical issues on their end. I've used Firefox and Chrome but the issue is still there.

Yes, some studies come up again and again, even if you have said you are not interested - e.g. a two-hour one on music preferences, or one which invites you to play a game but which can only handle 50 entries at any one time.  Basically, once one round has finished, I guess they then request more participants.  It's not unusual.  If you are using the browser add-on, it does not know anything about any "not interested" links you have clicked on the main site.

Has anyone noticed the disappearance of Completion Codes on the Submission page since a recent revamp? I've been prompted to copy/paste a CC but there is no place I can identify where to do this.

If the survey is still awaiting review a pen&paper symbol is alongside, whilst hovering over with the cursor a edit completion code bubble appears - would it work there?

Thanks and have done. Before the change, I think it was always visible on the Submission page.
