Hi I just did this one

First page asked me which charity I want the £20 donation sent to, then it just went straight to the last page when I clicked next.

What shall I do, I can't return the survey it won't let me
Was it by any chance this one, which I had last week?

Did anyone do the "Donating to charity" survey which was supposedly about having a conversation with an AI assistant? I got repeated errors when trying to start the AI chat, and so the only bit of the study I actually did was the question about how much of my bonus I wanted to donate to charity. I answered zero, as I always do - if I want to donate, I'll do it off my own back, not be guilt-tripped into it as part of a study. So I ended up with a generous bonus of £20 for less than 5 minutes work. Given the title of the study, I can't help wondering if the AI chat actually existed or if it was just a ruse to get people to answer the charity question. So if anyone else did it, did you have the same experience, or did anyone actually manage to chat with the purported AI? I messaged the researcher about the errors and they assured me they'd received my data, although there was no data to receive other than from the charity question.

Yes that's the one. When did you get paid the bonus £20 was it straight away or was it a few days later

It was the same day, an hour or two after doing the study.

Got an email from Y_live for a survey, literally 5 minutes later I get the following message:

We are very sorry, but unfortunately you are either not eligible for this survey or the survey is now closed.

Does that mean they are not screening very well? No way it can be closed already.
No, it does happen sometimes. Particularly the higher paid ones.
The past few days they've all been paying the same, £1

Some researchers are lovely. I had some queries with a study I did a couple of weeks back, had problems getting a task to start, had some nice interaction with the researcher and a £12.50 payment at the end.

Yesterday I did the first of a two part task done on a laptop, with the second part to be done today on a smartphone. Could not get the smartphone one to load. Several messages with the researcher, it timed out in the end. I offered to try on my partner's ipad if they could reopen it for me, but they manually paid the second part of the study and added a £1 bonus too, so I got paid £5 for some data that's not much use to them as they needed both parts. Totally unexpected. I sent them a message of thanks.

If anyone has time to spare, they have a £50 study on Les Miserables taking 48 minutes, time reduced from 120 minutes with the same payout.

Not showing up for me, which is a shame.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • Did anyone have the x rated video one yesterday evening, are these allowed?
  • Not had a Y-Live for a week now. Bit annoying as I was on a decent streak.

I have been getting bonus email notifications, but the amount of the bonus isn't matching the bonus shown when I go to "submissions" on the website.
