Exploring Language Markers in English - 2nd Phase

    By Panos Griziotis

Has anyone else got this at the moment?  It's been sitting in my in-tray with 148 places remaining for the last couple of days, but I don't want to do it until the end of the month because I'm worried about going over the £1000 tax-free earnings limit.  It sounds like I've already done the 1st phase, so i don't want to mess up the researcher's results by not taking part, but wondered how long he will leave it up for.
Can you work on a cash basis and not cash out until after the end of the tax year?

Study about a negotiation assistant for written online negotiations

In this study, we want to test the usefulness of an AI-based negotiation assistant in online negotiations. For this purpose we will ask you to write a message within a described scenario and interact with the assistant’s feedback on this message. We will also ask you to answer a few questions.

has anybody actually done this one? I've had it come up with 1 place left that goes before I can get to it, must be over a dozen times in the past week.

Sorry yes that was me.  It came up a few times at 1 place and then I managed to get it.

I just had one of the most enjoyable studies for a while.  Watching dots chasing each other and some questions about feelings.

All nice and easy and much quicker than advertised.

Why does everyone get these really well paid studies  :( The maximum I have ever had per study was probably 4-5 pounds, I have never seen one that pays this well... I've been completing them for just over a month and have done about 70 so far, average payout just 1.5GBP.

ETA OK I know it's not "everyone" but still, I wonder if it's something about my demographics. Am I too well off?  :DB)

No.  It's just who is paying versus who is there.

FWIW I don't think my demographic is 'common' and I was expecting fewer surveys than my OH.  I do get less, but they pay ok.  I do get some small ones but mostly they are at the £8 and over mark.

Watch movies and ads in our lab in London

    By Daniel Richardson

This experiment takes place IN PERSON on Friday 31st March in our laboratory in London. Please only sign up if you are willing and able to come to our labs at UCL, located in Bloomsbury, near Russell Square station. If you are interested, you'll be taken to a sign up page where you can pick a half hour slot that is convenient to you.

In the experiment on the day, you will be taken to a cubicle, where you'll be watching short movies and ads on the computer. You'll wear a physiological sensor on your finger, a bit like a fitbit, that will measure you heart rate and skin conductance. After 30 mins, you will receive a completion code that you can then use to get rewarded £5 on the prolific system.

The payment for this one is utterly ridiculous. £5 for half an hour, fine, but add journey time to that, so probably at least a couple of hours out of my day, and it'd cost me more than £5 to get there and back. They need to offer higher pay rates for in-person studies. Add travel expenses at the very least. 2 hours out of my day and it'll end up costing me more than it pays? No thanks. I've done similar in-person studies before (not via Prolific) and they usually pay at least £40-50. I wouldn't take less than £25 for this one.
