After a great start, this is virtually dead now for me, clearly, the honeymoon period is well and truly over, hardly any studies and the ones that do come through are full instantly and everything is taking so long to approve, I have over £25 sitting there waiting despite me messaging the researcher, any suggestions as to how I can make this work again?0

This is how it works!! - after the initial flurry it's the same for everyone. Researchers have 22 days to approve studies - they are not obliged to pay out instantly.serena9 said:After a great start, this is virtually dead now for me, clearly, the honeymoon period is well and truly over, hardly any studies and the ones that do come through are full instantly and everything is taking so long to approve, I have over £25 sitting there waiting despite me messaging the researcher, any suggestions as to how I can make this work again?2 -
Agree with willowcat27. Everyone gets quiet periods when they don't get any studies or only ones which are nearly full but sometimes after a period of that you get a burst of several. You just have to wait and you can't do anything to change the algorithms. It's unlikely to be as busy as it was when you started as you're no longer what's called 'naive' as many types of studies won't be new to you in the way they were when you'd never done any for Prolificserena9 said:After a great start, this is virtually dead now for me, clearly, the honeymoon period is well and truly over, hardly any studies and the ones that do come through are full instantly and everything is taking so long to approve, I have over £25 sitting there waiting despite me messaging the researcher, any suggestions as to how I can make this work again?
I wouldn't think that messaging the researcher either before the 22 days are up will help. It may even make them decide to make you wait the full 22 days!3 -
Messaging did help and I now only have £9 outstanding, I think most researchers are probably busy and simply hadn't got to approving payment so a polite reminder is probably helpful rather than antagonising, it would never have occurred to me that they would make you wait on purpose because of a message.0

Hang in there - the surveys will come. I've not had time to do many in the last few weeks, and have two possibles on my Prolific page right now. I feel (backed up by others' comments on this thread) that the algorithms allow survey offers to be spread around users, so after a busy period, it may be quiet for a while before picking up again.1

Annoyingly this one is incorrectly set up.

Just seen that one - and just had the same experience. That's my second Experiment Full one today. I wouldn't mind so much, but I havn't seen anything else.theonlywayisup said:Annoyingly this one is incorrectly set up.

I was up early and had a few. There was a queue of four this morning when I logged in and then the fifth as I finished those! All have paid out too! So £12 just for logging in really! Just that one returned.willowcat27 said:Just seen that one - and just had the same experience. That's my second Experiment Full one today. I wouldn't mind so much, but I havn't seen anything else.

Wow - that's really good. I don't think I've ever had 4 waiting for me. I have now completed one study for £3.00 and I did see another couple pop up just before I had to go out.
Seems to happen quite regular for me, nothing for hours and then 10 minutes before I need to go out a 45minute study pops up!!0 -
