No, I'm afraid the only way with Prolific is to be totally truthful, in your profile and in your study answers.  It's not like some of the survey sites where people can get away with "gaming" their replies.

oh your right, i wasnt going to change my answers, but ive only completed 70% of it and was wondering if the bits ive missed might be why. I do like to understand why things happen!!!!

Not sure how you get included in those AI studies. I don't think there can be too many people doing them (maybe a few hundred) as their studies fill up quite slowly considering the decent rate of pay, with some hanging around for several hours. That researcher has been doing various similar studies since last summer so I thought they were probably whitelisting participants who'd done well on those, but I've seen threads on Reddit where some people are getting them despite joining Prolific in the last month or two.
Vintage67 I am not sure what demographic is getting them either. I am getting them, and doing them regularly ( I try to do at least one AI survey a day, sometimes I do 2). The other day I had 7 AI surveys on my screen to choose from! I only joined Prolific on 10th Jan!

@shell16 - do contact them about unpaid rewards - I had this problem recently and also some discrepancies between submission page and balance due tab.  They sorted it out and added more to my balance than I was expecting.  I think their recent update and changes have caused some hiccups with the site.

There are some, although not as many as on weekdays.  Remember that they are working to Pacific time, eight hours behind us;  around 4-5pm there can be a new set of surveys, because that is 8-9am for them.
  • Please be careful  if you're offered The Maze of Mystery or something similar. The task in the assignment is to find your way out of a VR maze. There is a small warning that if you feel motion sickness you should stop immediately and return the survey. I tried the task but after about three or four minutes I suddenly felt violently sick and shaky. I went cold all over and very dizzy. I'm only just starting to recover now after about three to four hours. I'm sure lots of people will complete this kind of task without any problems but it has severely affected me.

Studies appear at any time regardless of the researcher location. Prolific UK is based in London.

Weekends generally quieter but one weekend looking back at my logs I did 12 studies on the Saturday and 8 on the Sunday that was in June 2017.

    Yes this.

I find I get studies on Sundays from New Zealand and Australia.
  • Must be my lucky day.  Normally when I see a study with one place available I click on it knowing that I'll get the 'all the places on this study have been filled' message, but today I actually got the last place.  I was so shocked I just stared at the screen for a moment wondering what was happening.

Well done. I lost one today even though it said there were still 44 places left
