Has anyone had issues with not being able to start studies? The error comes up as "connection was reset" - not had this problem before this evening, not having issues elsewhere with my internet and I've not changed browser or permissions at all.
Any clues as to how to resolve it?
edit: checked chrome settings, LAN settings are as recommended for this error and I'm not getting it anywhere except for when I try and open Prolific studies!Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

I've been having a problem for the last couple of days when trying to open up and start a survey. I get "Safari can't open the page because Safari couldn't establish a secure connection to the server". Same thing happens if I try using Chrome and it happens if I try on Mac desktop/iPad or iPhone. Haven't made any changes or had any new updates recently. Prolific is unusable for me at the mo!! Might have to fire up the old Windows laptop and see if that works.....:(0 -

Just got the 'Workplace Scenario' study and managed to fire up the Windows laptop and cannot access studies there either. Message denying access said 'This site uses unsupported protocol or cipher suite"
No idea what's going on at all - it's only happening with Prolific. Anyone else having similar problems??0 -

I started having problems on Edge and Chrome yesterday. Couldn't log on as the login screen just sat there. I messaged support to say there might be a problem but they just messaged back to say thanks for letting them know. I can only access Prolific from my phone at the moment. Guess they've made a change of some sort over the last day or two.0 -

I am running Windows 10 Professional without the updates and Prolific is working fine for me on Edge.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

Those having problems:
does this email explain things for you? Just received it.
You can reply to the below message via app.prolific.ac/messages/5c8a1cf98ce3850015596080 Hi there, This is Zak from Prolific Support. If you were able to take part successfully in the study "Oxford Packaging Research Project: Perceptions of Food (2B300)", then please disregard this message. We discovered yesterday (13th March) that the UK broadband provider TalkTalk has erroneously blocked the Qualtrics website (popular survey hosting platform), so if your ISP is TalkTalk you may be unable to access some studies on Prolific for the time being. You may instead receive an error message, such as "The connection is not secure", and the study won't load correctly. Unfortunately, this is somewhat out of our control, but we're doing everything we can to push for a quick resolution between Qualtrics and TalkTalk. We do nevertheless apologise for any inconvenience caused. Whilst we attempt to resolve the issue with these companies, we kindly ask that you "Return" any submissions in which you were unable to take part in the study successfully - you can do this from your Submissions page, by clicking the "Return + cancel reward" button. If you require any further assistance, or if your ISP is not TalkTalk but you still couldn't take part in this study, feel free to contact Prolific Support via support@prolific.ac. Best, Zak0 -
Yep....just received the same response from Prolific and my BB supplier is TalkTalk! At least now I know it's not a problem from my end and I can stop mucking about trying to sort it myself.
Just received another message from Prolific....
"Some participants have been able to remove the block for themselves by contacting TalkTalk's support team, so you may wish to do this to expedite the process."
Now trying to contact TalkTalk.....!!!!0
