Ipsos isn't too bad, at least they pay you something if you are screen out.0

I did the lines one, complete all lines then got an email from them this morning to say this;
Dear participant,
unfortunately, I have made a mistake in coding the software for the survey. Therefore, I am not able to link Prolific ID's to the bonus earnings. To make up for this, I have paid all participants the maximum they could earn in a treatment where we incentivized all questions. This maximum was 60 cent.
I hope that this solution satisfies you.
Best regards
Emailed them back to say don't think so....... we will see what their response is.

The 60p bonus is for the 35p survey from 2/10 Deleted_User - different to the lines one I think?0 -
With regards to the lines one, I decided to carry on for as long as it was worth my while. What other people were getting was academic.
If I'd have been paid 3p a line I doubt I'd have carried on till the end - that's the judgement we make for every survey we do: is this worth my time or isn't it?
Which is why I never do the hour and a half ones - not worth it for me Other people feel differently. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

I've just done the lines study (before I'd checked this thread) and I'm absolutely sure in my instructions it said you could go on and on until your time ran out. Did other variants of the experiment say up front that there were only 85 lines? I stopped at 79 because I got bored.
I (female) got 6p per line and was told that a male participant in the study was getting 3p per line.0 -

Mine said that you could do it until your time ran out, I did it all and got told that I had done 85 lines and was finished basically, but nothing about that in the instructions.0 -

Definitely a different survey, as I didn't do the lines survey and have got this email.
This is the "Pilot with Bonus Earnings" study - I can't for the life of me remember what it was about, but maybe one of the ones where it asked you to guess answers and the closer you got the more you earned?
Anyway, the email literally says that because they've stuffed up the coding, everyone is getting the max possible bonus instead of being marked down for a wrong answer, so :beer:Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056
Current mortgage amount: £226,957.97
Start student loan 2012: £29,750; current student loan: CLEARED July 20250 -
