Slinky said:Has anybody had the Mobile Video studies popping up this morning? Need to be done with a Chrome browser. Having downloaded the Chrome browser onto my iphone 12, it's still coming up as not compatible. Pity as there's loads paying well.
I've seen on reddit comments that it won't work on an iPhone and the researcher knows about the problem and may fix it in the future.silvercar said:
Same. Also with iPhone 12. I guess that’s why they are sticking on the board.Slinky said:Has anybody had the Mobile Video studies popping up this morning? Need to be done with a Chrome browser. i don’t want chrome on my iPhone just for this, but you can google ways of increasing the pixel size in settings and the iPhone 12 is a 1080px screen.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I did some furious clicking recently and got temporarily suspended!onemouseplace said:Not sure Slinky - I've never had an feedback, slapped wrist or otherwise on any of the AI studies!
Speaking of the $5 video ones I finally just saw one again after a few weeks, clicked furiously and then couldn't get on. Never had trouble before getting on those ones if I saw one in my studies, so it will be annoying if this is the new norm.0 -
I've managed several of the AI Video studies in the past few days, so it looks like I got away with the swimming kitten incident.Make £2025 in 2025

IIRC, Chrome on the iPhone is actually just a Chrome skin on the Safari Webkit browser backend. You can check this at https://www.whatismybrowser.com/.

Re:
Mobile Video Quality Study - 239
By Video Quality
Android mobile phone with a minimum resolution of 1080P and using CHROME Browser App.
Can anyone help me to learn how stop receiving these notificationsm please? Yesterday I had over 100 notifications and, every time I clicked "Not interested" (My reason is that my mobile does not have the necessary resolution) immediately another batch appeared.I am not long up and now there are 239 (and increasing so well over 200) new notifications. They are coming faster than I can delete them - another 41 have just arrived.I don't want to block the Researcher in case this is just a glitch and if it would be detrimental to the Researcher or to me.Thank you.Edit: It is now 7.24 a.m. and new notifications are still pouring in. When I scrolled to the bottom I found one different notification for a 5 minute Study to complete on my laptop and I nearly missed it.

Block the researcher. There is now an option to unblock researchers if you change your mind. It won’t hurt you or them.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I'm going to block as well and unblock if they become relevant (or increase their payrate as they are way below my threshold).2

I tried one this morning just to see what they were like. I have a fairly new android phone which already has chrome and no issues completing the survey. Very repetitive and dull though. But certainly not difficult or requiring much thought.
At $2.76 per 20 minutes, it's just not worth my time as they are not enjoyable to do. I have managed to get in couple of the standard $20 evaluate an AI assistant studies this morning - which both lasted well under an hour before completing automatically, so can't complain about that rate.1 -
I agree @SensibleSarah, I have done a couple, but they are boring, and the rate is low. I've just done a difficult one, but was interested to read the following:
Your involvement in the research study as a participant will be around 30 minutes. The reward for your participation in the study for 30 minutes is £4.50, following Prolific’s recommended rate of £9.00 per hour (and exceeding Prolific’s minimum rate of £6 per hour).
One of the ones for the videos was showing as an email invite, and it did equate to £2.20 for 20 minutes. They are boring and not well paid, so I think I'm going to give them a miss.0 -
Do any of the video ones come up for iPhones, or are they all android? I’ve got 28 showing at the moment and can’t do any of them. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
