Currently 92 AI image studies on my dashboard that I can't do since I couldn't get my new screen to work. I do have some better paying studies over on Data Annotation I can do but they require more effort.

I currently have lots of AI Evaluation videos on my screen.

As payments are in dollars, and I usually skip these, I wondered what is involved in completing these surveys.

Am wondering whether to try doing some, but would appreciate it if someone could give me an idea of whether they are difficult to complete, or any problems.

    Thank you

Super easy. You spend 15 minutes clicking on whether video A or B is better, or they are equal. You can watch each one as many times as you like, no time pressure. After 15 minutes you are told your survey is complete and you close that window, return to the main prolific tab and the completion code is already complete. Usually approves within a day or so.

    Ongoing cashout problems  :(

Am trying to cashout as I won't be participating in future. I know id is required for the 'onboarding' process but on My Account page it only asks for basic name address etc, and everything is filled in and nothing is flagged up as required. However I have the message 'there was an issue registering you with our payment processor'.

Customer services just said this would be because I hadn't cashed out since the move to Hyperwallet in 2024, and to check my paypal address and also set it to accept USD. I've done all this and left plenty of time since but no dice.

Been back onto CS but they are now not getting back to me at all, any tips as to what else might be wrong? Thanks a lot.
Cash out doesn’t work if you are abroad
    I'm here in the UK.

What they said to me about the problem makes sense - "To explain why this issue is occurring, this is due to Prolific moving to use Hyperwallet, our new payments processor, in 2024. Every participant was put through an automatic re-registration process when this change occurred. It looks like you haven't cashed out since January 2024, so you haven't yet been through this re-linking process" - but I don't know what the actual problem is in re-linking me!

Yes, it stays in dollars until you withdraw from PayPal. At which point it converts to £, without you needing to do anything.

Because of being offered upwards of 60 video comparison studies, I thought I had better have a go;  trying them on my desktop is hopeless because I have to adjust the magnification from 150% to 100%, which when the resolution is 1920 x 1280 makes things impossible to read.  But I tried the same alteration to the settings on my laptop, and have just completed two studies to start with, although neither of them appeared to have any audio.  One thing I did learn was that you can only be logged into Prolific on one device at a time, or it gives a login/password error - I spent ages trying to figure out what on earth was wrong with my password until I realised that the error message was what was at fault!  So I just logged out on the desktop, logged in on the laptop, and it worked.  Simples.

I don't think you can only be logged in on one device. I'm usually logged in on my phone as well as my laptop at the same time and not had any issues with that. Or maybe their system can tell what type of device you're logged in with and doesn't allow two of the same type - don't know!
I tried to start one of the video studies but my screen resolution was fine vertically and just short horizontally. I don't want to mess about with my settings so will give them a miss.
