The pay is low for those studies but they do give fairly decent bonuses - another dollar or two.

Supposedly you get bonuses for them so the pay isn't as bad as it seems but you don't really know how much the bonus is. There were some people on Reddit who said they got a $45 bonus but thought it was a mistake. I'm not doing them while I have better paying AI studies available.
  • Well I just did one and got a $0.05 bonus 🙃

I did actually have a few AI studies today! Not the fact checking type though I never got those.

I checked my submissions to see how long I've been doing the Fact checking. It looks like it's nearly 9 months. That definitely makes me worried my time may come to an end soon.

Popping on as still very much a newbie to Prolific. For what it's worth, I've made close to £150 over the last 3 months, haven't had any rejections. Last night I had a notification from Prolific, something along the lines that I'd been invited to be screened for longer, higher paying AI studies.

I registered my interest, just wondered if anyone else has had this and knows a bit more about what it means? Might I be joining some of you guys earning some good money on these AI studies you all mention of?

Also, YES to the sound perception offerings. I did one, submitted, approved very quickly with a small bonus and then they just kept on appearing, at one point up to 12 of the same! Last time I had this I did block the researcher...

I was screened for the higher paying ones and told that I’d passed, but I’ve never actually had any. I’ve been doing the usual  AI ones for a while now, so I’m probably in line for being bumped off them as well at some point.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I did 4 of them, they took about 4 or 5 minutes each. Total bonuses 0.40$. So 2.40$ for about 18 minutes work. So under £2. £6.67 hourly rate. Poor paying, but I had nothing else to do at the time.

I was busy last night so didn't get round to doing any of the voice ones but they haven't hung around until this morning.  It looked like they were supposed to be higher paying per hour, but taking longer than stated which dropped the pay rate.

Similar - I started in June last year.  I wonder whether they look at length of time or number of submissions, as I was really busy with a project on another site for 6 weeks in the autumn and didn't do any of the AI studies then as the other project was better paying at the time.
