Thomas Cook flight time change

I booked a holiday to tenerife via TC. It included easy jet flights. TC have just changed my flights time by 9 hrs to arrive and leave late at night. Easyjet have a policy of 5 hrs being a significant change but TC is 12hrs. Anyone had this issue and have any advice to get anything from TC. I usually put my own holidays together but after Monarch i decided to go with a big name tour operator. I now regret this. They even hid the change in the confirmation. No direct email telling me of my change or rights. No wonder they nearly went bust. I cancel but will loose my deposit which i may do as flight time are the reason we booked this holiday

Since you booked from TC I suspect you'll be bound by their T&C but you'll need to talk to them about it.

If you've booked a Thomas Cook package holiday then you are bound by their package T&C's which says 12 hours is a significant change. Pretty standard for package holidays.

As jpsartre says, speak to them about it. You don't really have any "rights", however be polite and explain the situation and you never know, sometimes they may help you. A couple of things to perhaps help you:

    1) Have easyJet moved their flight by 9 hours? Or have Thomas Cook changed your flight altogether? Is the original easyJet flight operating? Have a look on the easyJet website.
    2) Have a look on the Thomas Cook website for holidays to Tenerife on your dates and see what flight times are available - is there any better suited flights or just the current one.
    3) If you have no joy on the phone try social media - they have a twitter account where they reply to customers
    4) Remember, they are operating within the T&Cs you agreed to. Be polite and nice - you want the agent to feel for you and help you.
