Boiler help - 65+

I wondered if you could help me, my mum is in need of a new boiler she has been quoted by a independent plumber but is a single women, retired who lives on her own in her own home, her supplier is NPower

She thinks she would not be intitled to any support/schemes but the cost of this boiler is huge to her, she is reluctant to call to find out and clearly (as not the customer) they would not discuss it with me

Does anyone know of any schemes that could help with funding/partial funding due to mums age/pension/single occupant before she attempts to find the money for this bill 🙈

and if she's not entitled to any scheme, she should call 3 local engineers and get 3 quotes to compare.

Like for like quotes, so similar boiler, and if a powerflush or new flue etc is needed, then make sure all 3 quotes include the same work.
