Yup, I've only have it for a day and I'm loving it!0

when you see a link you want to load in a tab, hover over it and push down the scroll key (as if it were a button) and the link loads in the background.
Sorry if that seems obvious but I went for months right-clicking and selectind 'Open in new tab' ::)
When I'm looking through this forum I just middle-click about a dozen threads from the index and they're all loaded for me in the background to read one at a time

Thanks, that'll come in handy! ;D0

I have installed FireFox SR 1 today. I'm only just getting to grips with it. I notice that when I have multiple browser windows open, and then select File->Exit, all windows close. Is this the right behaviour or have I found a bug? I believe IE just closes the current window.
Love the tabbed pages.
Strange too that it seems slower than IE on my PC.0 -
On the file menu there are is a 'close' option which will close a window and 'exit' which exits the program0

Hi David 78, to tune up Firefox go to http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=53650
This link gets you to a set of speed tips which mostly are found in about:config.(type this in the address bar) treat them with care, not all will speed you up.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Thanks ssra, I've found the close option now. Too used to having it at the end of the menu on IE.
peter_the_piper, I will have a look thanks. It seems to be working a bit faster now. So I might have just been unlucky and got a poor connection.
One more question. I plan to use firefox for all my browsing but in particular I want to use when I log in to my Rpoints account. I am accustomed to periodically deleting my cookies on Rpoints because it helps when building up points from pricerunner etc. In IE when I clear the cookies, I stay logged in. But in firefox deleting the cookies logs me out. I had a look at the cookies and there is one from https://www.rpoints.com which firefox deletes. Is there any way of ensuring it doesn't get deleted other than by deleting the other cookies one by one?0
