Virgin Mobile to Other Network to Virgin

Hi,

I have got a Virgin PAYG SIM. Today, I signed up for new Virgin Pay Monthly contract through CPW. I wish to transfer my old Virgin PAYG number to the new Pay monthly SIM but Virgin does not allow me to do that..

The only way out now is to port Virgin PAYG number to some other network and then port it back to the new Virgin Pay monthly SIM.

IF I port it to Vodafone PAYG then once ported I need to wait for at least 30 days before I can ask for PAC from Vodafone. Is there any other network who can offer me PAC within reasonably less time.. ex 4-5days??

Any help is appreciated!

Regards,

I done this with O2, but had to fight with them to get my PAC, You will still need to wait a few days once you have been activated, but once I was I used the excuse of having a poor signal as my reason for such a quick departure from them.

    Hi there,

This is my first post. But I went through the same thing except in reverse when I was changing from Virgin pay monthly contract to a sim only contract. They said I would not be able to keep my old number and would need a new sim card.

I rang the call centre 3 times and eventually managed to switch to a sim only contract without needing a new card or new number.

SO my advice is to try again

    Good Luck
  • You can port to orange payg then back to virgin with no hassle.

I just called up Orange Number porting team on 0800 3762285 and they confirmed that there is no such min time period I need to be with them (for PAYG).. :j

Yes, I am in the same position (contract ending and wanting to switch to PAYG) and when I called, they say it's no problem to do it over the phone, no new SIM or number... Having said that, being with virgin for Broadband, I'll go for their 300txtx and 300 min for £10.

Better deal is 6mths contract 6mths free 150txt and 150 mins...Only one cashback involved that too with reputed group CPW

  • If you take the contract out this month , you need to send you 4th bill ( Jan) to CPW to get £90 cashback. Virgin won't let you have 2 contracts so u'll have to wait till one ends.

You should be able to do this if you speak to the right person - see this thread:
