A while ago, I downloaded a Pro version of some software from Giveaway of the day, but recently something went wrong, I had to re-boot my pc, and now I have the Free version. I'm sure the key will be somewhere on my pc. How can I find it?

No. I deleted the zip file once it was installed.

Too late now, but when I used this site previously, the downloaded file extracted installation files into a temporary folder. By keeping a copy of this folder, you could reinstall the software later.

And another too late now - I sometimes download software that has an activation key, I send myself an email with the key in it.


You could try contacting the software developer - they may be able to provide the license key again.

Another thing to consider with these giveaway sites is that part of the activation may be done online. This part of the activation is only available during the free period so attempts to activate after that time will fail.
