Euros to GB £

Hi ,
I work in Europe and get paid Euros. Is there anyway of changing Euros back to GB pounds on a regular basis without getting hammered on the exchange rate constantly? Is it worth opening a Euro account in a GB Bank?

Not at all. You should have a euro account in the eurozone to receive your pay. Then use Revolut or TransferWise Borderless Account to convert to pounds and withdraw, or receive your pay to them directly (Revolut provide a personal IBAN). Fineco Bank UK is another useful option, but stay away from other British banks for euros.schoolouse wrote: »Is it worth opening a Euro account in a GB Bank?Evolution, not revolution0 -
I think there'll always be an exchange rate.schoolouse wrote: »Hi ,

IB seem to work for me. (and presumably provide better exchange rates than other means likely to be mentioned.)0

I had never heard of Revolut. Do I understand correctly that it is a real bank account that I can hold funds in? I can see that they are registered with Companies House, but I'm not sure how trustworthy they are.
Has anyone actually used them?0 -
Revolut is not a bank, funds held with them are in a 'ringfenced' Barclays or Natwest account, but without FSCS protection. I've been using them since they began in June 2015. All the info and FAQs are on the website and app, I recommend studying them well before trying to use it.Evolution, not revolution0
