On examination of the MSE CS for One Select (tariff: Secure 1 yr fixed Jan 2018). There is an error. On my personal annual consumption of: Gas- 10221 kWh/ Elect-1571 kWh. It said the cost would be £561 per annum. It is in fact £609 per annum, A figure confirmed on the One Select website.
If you are trying to persuade people to collectively switch please make sure that they are given accurate information to make that decision!

Presumably you are currently on the One Select Secure 1 yr fixed Jan 2018 tariff?
Are you looking at the same method of calculation? MSE offers two methods
If you want someone else to check (and correct if necessary), you will need to provide your supply region (or first part of your postcode) and the date your existing fixed term expires.0 -
Its wrong for me as well....if i work it out with my kwh its actually £90 more a year d/f you can tell its wrong the daily standing charge is more on both, the gas is fractionally more and elec is about same but its saying £90 a year cheaper
As op has stated if i go one select website it comes up with correct amount0 -

See my response to the OP above.
In addition, you would need to provide details of your annual usage in kWh (as the OP has already done)0 -

Thanks to Footguy and Gardner.
I'm with Flow Energy (fixed July 2018). My post code is East Kent(CT11).
Even with dual fuel discount of £25 per fuel this tariff is much more expensive than Outfox the Market (Whack! January fixed Aug 2019), and with a much longer fixed period!0 -
To switch to this new collective switch EDF Simpy Fixed March 20 MSE states you MAY be charged exit fees (£35 per fuel) if you are already with EDF. This morning I have had e-mail confirmation from EDF that should I switch I WILL be charged £70 in exit fees. I am interested to know if anyone receives a different response.0

Hi Reciprocater
The guidance we've had from EDF around this it that the exit fees will depend on if you've got a bundled tariff. If you do e.g. you get Amazon Prime, Amazon Echo or a smart thermostat - and you want to switch to this deal, you will be charged any exit fees on your current deal, unless you're within the last 49 days of your tariff.
Hope that helps.0 -

Hi Sterlingsafeguarder
Thanks for flagging this. So that we check out the details could you drop us an email to energyclub@moneysavingexpert.com
The team will then be able to review where the root cause of the error is.0 -

Yes, there does indeed appear to be an error on the MSE CEC for this tariff in this area (and perhaps others) based on the historical calculation method
The error would appear to stem from the application of the dual fuel discount.
The OneSelect - Secure 1 Year Fixed January 18 has a dual fuel discount of £25 per fuel, so a total of £50 pa
It would appear the CEC is applying a dual fuel discount of £50 per fuel
Edit: there does seem some confusion with comparison sites over this particular supplier & tariff
One Select website appears to use a redacted version of EHL to provide you a quote.
(that is where I see the £25 per fuel dual fuel discount)
Energylinx (and hence the CAB version) appears to indicate no dual fuel discount.
As for uSwitch and Simply Switch, I cannot find the tariff at all in their listings.
Edit 2: Compare the Market also indicates it is £25 per fuel for the dual fuel discount0
