    Try your local "Stuff For Sale or Free in XXX" facebook page. On mine there have been phones like Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge going for a couple of hundred quid.

    Today my phone is working. Probably the kiss of death. But now nearly 3 hrs of working and no major issues.

    I did order a new one from amazon due to the extra £10 off. But cancelled it as this one seems to be working.

    It could still fail in a few days, as you have not followed the wise advice above to dry it out for a week in a bowl of rice. If moisture is still present, it will continue to corrode.
    But, if it's currently working, you can ensure that it's backed up.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    You are right it could fail again. A chance I will have to take. And will be backing everything up this evening.
