    Little update,
I!!!8217;ve now received a Notice of proposed Allocation to the small claims track

    The one thing I!!!8217;ve noticed is that it states;
The defendant has filed a defence, a copy of which is enclosed.

However they have drawn a line through this, why would this be the case?

I!!!8217;ve attached a copy of said letter, whats the next stage from here.

    Let me think now...

Could it possibly be because they didn't enclose a copy of your Defence with that letter?

That's just one possibility... off the top of my head.

I’m unable to post direct links, as pointed out earlier in the thread I was advised to httpx a link, to allow someone more senior to come along and edit the post with live link.

You've certainly been here long enough with plenty of posting history.

Where is it 'pointed out earlier in the thread'?

The reason that copy has that single line struck through, is because that line is only applicable to the Claimant, who has been sent their copy with a copy of your defence.

Thanks coupon, I appreciate your help. So I’m guessing this is standard practice to cross that part out.

Can this be filed electronically or via email, or does it need returning via standard post?

Also, is there any guidelines of how to complete, I’m presuming that I don’t want mediation etc.

There is detailed guidance on how to fill out a Directions Questionnaire in Bargepole's walkthrough linked from post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ thread.

Send it to the same court email address that you sent your defence.

You also need to send a copy to the claimant.

Not had any updates from this in a while until yesterday received client's witness statement stating they will not be in attendance at the hearing and will be represented by an advocate.

However it looks like they've dropped the paperwork to me exactly 14days before court date, and that ive left it too late to submit my witness statement?

Any advice on what can be done from here, or is there anyone I can send the witness statement over too to read over

Write a Witness Statement over the weekend and hand deliver it to the court on Monday morning.

I really cannot understand how this could happen.
