I am afraid my gifts are not lovely, homemade personal gifts like a lot of the suggestions on here, but I figure, a lot of people are really busy and don't have time to implement a lot of these suggestions as lovely as they are, so this is for all the busy people, like me!

    Breast Cancer Care shopping bag

    and

    Lip Gloss Charm

Do you make or buy it: Buy it

Total Cost: £5 shopping bag, £2 gloss (£2.95 combined postage)

    Details:

Bag: great present for any shopaholic, but even better because you are donating to Breast Cancer Care AND saving the environment by re-using this great shopping bag rather than using plastic bags.

So, save the environment, help raise funds and awareness for breast cancer, save your arms and fingers from aching, be fashionable with a great pink shopping bag all for just £5!

    Gloss:
The lip gloss is also a mobile phone charm, so perfect when you are out shopping or on the move and need to look good, you always have your phone, but you don't always remember your make-up, never forget your gloss again by attaching to your phone as a phone charm, also creates breast cancer awareness and gives a donation to breast cancer care.

Combined the 2 gifts above come to £9.95, so divide them by 2 and you have just under £5 per gift, so 2 gifts for 2 special ladies, all for a great cause. :T

Name of present? Paint your own mugs, bowls, piggy bank
Make it or buy it? Both
Total cost? Around £3-5 depending on which you choose

Details: You can buy paint your own mug, mug and bowl, or piggy bank kits. The actual kits come with the mug, bowl or piggy bank, plus the paints and brush. The instructions for each seem to be slightly different. Some need to be put in the oven for about 20 minutes 24 hours after painting. Other kits you can put them in the microwave to seal the paint.

This gift could either be a present for a child, for them to paint their own personal mug. Or you could buy the kit and have your children/child paint it for someone for a present.

All sets come with paints included.

There are several on ebay, mostly below £5

I know our local woolworths have the mug and bowl option so if you want to save on postage check your local store.
  • Name: Grow your own pressie!

  • Name:tie-dye for!

Dry and then write your won slogan on with the fabric pen, perhaps "I'm a mini Money saver!". Give to your friends/relatives babies for christmas.:T

    total cost: £5
Details: Give your best school mum friend a January treat. Pick up her kids for the school run and let her stay in bed all day until you pick them up and bring them home again. • Name: celebrity photo shoot
Make or buy: bit of both
    Total cost:£4.50
Details: Recycle a mates celebrity magazine such as Heat and cut out a picture of a stunning celebrity in catwalk attire. Scan into the computer and use all your best skills in photoshop to replace the celebrity's face with that of your giftee. Print out on good quality photopaper (printing costs £1) and mount in a frame (3.50 from all good cheap shops). Present your friend with a piece to show off on their mantelpiece.:T
  • Name of present: Personalised mug/plate/bowl or tile

Make it or buy it? Bit of both but mostly make it.

Total cost:Initially about £5, the more you make, the cheaper it gets.

Details: Buy some ceramic paints or pens from an art shop and a cheap white mug/plate/bowl - maybe from a charity shop to keep costs to a minimum. Just paint your design or message and then bake in the oven to make it dishwasherproof. The best thing is that once you have the paints you can always make a cheap gift. My children paint mugs for their teachers and they make brilliant gifts with a handmade tag tied to the handle. Sometimes we write names on them, other times we just paint spots or sripes both of which are easy because they require no artistic ability and yet can be really effective. You could even do a handprint or footprint for the grandparents. Easy, well-received presents.
