Site users' help needed. What are the questions you'd like to see answered in a FAQ about the main site (NOT the chat forum)?

i would like to know if the sainsburys dvd refer a friend is a scam.... your supposed to get a months free trial each when you refer a friend, however they are saying that my father-in-law didnt enter my email address (even though he used the link from the email i sent to him) so there not going to honour it!
has anyone else had the same problem?
can martin do a cheapest / best DVD rental on the weekly tips as its such a popular service?0 -
The current answers in the FAQ don't look like they are clickable links, although they are, could they be a different colour?
It starts by mentioning the Chat Forums but doesn't explain particularly what the Chat Forums are, also when you say go to the Chat Forums and ask a question, perhaps you could point out the need to sign up to do so.
Its difficult to look at this from a newbie point of view...0 -
Absolutely. It's going to be completely overhauled and a lot of those questions and answers are no longer relevant so any suggestions, particularly from newer site users who can give their first impressions of the site and what help they feel they'd like, will be gratefully received.Could you do with a Money Makeover?

interest rates; what the different terms mean ie APR etc and the different methods they are worked out?
although I did think they were going to be FAQ's about the site, until I clicked on the link
Edited to add;
simple site directions ie there are different areas to this site; explain what the things *very descriptive* are in green....and what the things are in red and the things in orange (I thought they went to the same areas....I appear to be wrong....) oops! There is so much stuff on this site
rambling nearly over; I don't know how hard it would be to create something which asks questions, well not exactly but a series of drop down lists that can point you to the correct location at the end?
so it starts off with a list of for instance the examples you have there; and you select one ie
banking and loans
it then has further selections and on....
that might be a bit complicated, in my head I like it
Good luck with your changes0 -
You're absolutely right Murtle. We're looking at completely changing the FAQs so it's an info page with questions and answers on how to use the main site (not forum) so want we want to know is, are there any questions you've had when you've been using the main site, for which the answers aren't immediately obvious.Could you do with a Money Makeover?

I'm in debt where do I start looking to resolve it?
I have got so many credit cards I could play cards, what should I do with them?
My mortgage is due for renewal, I hear it's the biggest expense where do I go?
not sure these are on the right track - I keep looking at the home page and I keep changing my mind, maybe it's late and it's bed time0
