    Definitely the money saving answer.

A HDMI connected Sky decoder will also provide a far superior picture than a SCART connection.

OP don't waste money on any component leads or (Heaven forbid) SCART to HDMI converter.

I have a scart to HDMI converter. It works but does have it's place.

I use it for old computers, pictures not bad. Its not HD but decent enough.

+1 for getting one of the thousands and thousands of second hand SkyHD boxes being sold online for next to nothing.

You'll not have to waste a load of money going through different SCART to HDMI adapters until you find one that actually works and you'll gain the ability to watch some HD channels even if you don't subscribe to Sky.

Well there's only the one white socket........ :D
    (as opposed to two reds)

Some audio only phono leads have red and blue instead of red and white (red always being right), but as far as I'm aware, all component and composite leads have white for left channel audio.
