Have a look at this website for some great ideas for parties. There's some games ideas along woth lots of other party suggestions. The page this brings you to is for Thomas the Tank engine but there's loads of different themes with ideas for games with each theme if you click here. If you look at the baby's first birthday ideas there are some suggestions for games there that may be useful (I wasn't aware 1 year old played games though
).
Have fun!:smileyhea0 -
Oh I'm getting carried away here (my son's 2 in 2 weeks!). I know it's not what you asked but you can buy boxes to put their food in, a bit like happy meal boxes in loads of designs. This will save on washing up and looks good fun. Or use them as party bags.
There's also some good ideas for party games on the site and they sell party games as well. :j:smileyhea0 -
that sounds like a lovely party you could serve some pasta with it i always find dolmio stir in sauces are very easy you dont even have to warm them (the ones in little pots) you just do your pasta drain it ,stir in the sauce and serve it!!
also what about coleslaw, potatoe salad ,sweetcorn and ready washed bags of salad and tomatoes, sauces etc just like pizza hut!anything like that would go nicely!
pizza bases can be found in any supermarkets near other pizzas and toppings i'd just create my own if i were you eg sweetcorn, chop up ham you can even buy grated mozerella in a bag if you like!
have a great time!!0 -
What a fantastic idea. Pasta would be really easy to do and I'd feel better that at least some healthy food is on offer.
I thought I'd serve popcorn during the dvd, so at least everyone should like something!0 -
Hi there, it sounds like a great idea, we've done similar stuff for our girls. Make sure that every topping is ready prepared, unless you want preparing it to be part of the party, as this age group is not known for patience! Ice cream and diff toppings sounds great too, as does the popcorn (perhaps this could also be prepared in advance).
The only thing I'd suggest is that you have something in reserve to keep them occupied whilst the pizza is cooking! We have done tile painting (tiles left over from previous owners of house, or you could get a pack of cheap white ones from diy store, or cheap white plates/mugs from Ikea, plus china/glass paints from craft/material shop) or t shirt decorating (cheap value t-shirt/vest top from Tesco, plus fabric pens from material shop, pens don't make too much mess!). These also have the added attraction of becoming going home gifts!
Good luck, make sure that you have a nice bottle of wine chilling in the fridge for when they all go home!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

Also I'll run my idea for dd's 12th birthday past you.
Thought I would do a pamper pary. 18yr old niece and a friend are going to come and do nails and braiding of hair etc for 6 girls.
I've also got hold of some face packs, hand lotion etc from boots and I thought we could order a chinese banquet from the takeaway.
Birthday cake will be individual buns decorated with letters spelling happy birthday.
What do you think?
All ideas appreciated.0 -
Hi,
Def plan to do something whilst the pizza/pasta is cooking - or they'll be in your hair (a lot!).
2 hours is fine too.
As for pudding - if you make up jelly in advance, you can put a scoop of jelly followed by a scoop of ice cream into a wine glass. Add squirty cream and sweets on top and you've def got a winner!! The girls will think they are sooooo grown up and lucky 0 - you'll get top 'cool mum' ratings for that one.
Best of luck and def have some wine & choc ready for you afterwards!"A simple life freely chosen is a source of strength. Do not be pursuaded into buying what you do not need or cannot afford." Quaker Faith & Practice 1.02.410 -

For my daughters 13th birthday she had a make over party,But check first that the kids are ok to use make up on their skin,Many of them bought there own,There was 12 of them and they got in pairs and did each others make-up,Then they did a winners catwalk and had to vote,I took a photo of each of them then printed it out for them to take away with them,I was a bit cheeky and ordered pizzas but i let them have a fondue with marshmallows,Fruit pieces etc.
They all enjoyed them selves and it was a laugh as some of them did each other up as butterfly's and pandas from the make-up.Lucky No27
