Car phone Warehouse Miss sell

I have no idea how to post, so really sorry if it’s in the wrong place..

I went to car phone warehouse today and asked for the best deal for an iPhone 8, I had made her aware I saw some offers online..
She said it best option would be on an upgrade option which I could not argue with as my internet was down so could not look for myself. She even tried hooking me up to the store one but it still would not work, so I had to go with what she said. I agreed on the ‘best deal’ as I had no alternative to check.
When I got home I immediately checked on there website and found the exact same deal £50 cheaper, so I returned to the store within the hour for her to tell me this is a new contract deal and I said but I asked for the best deal regardless. She said there was nothing she could do and now I feel cheated and miss sold.
Any ideas or help?

If the store's own internet was down she was hardly in a position to find you a better deal. Nor was she obliged to, when you enter a shop it is a jungle, you have to do your own research beforehand. You can hardly expect a store to tell you that another outlet haS better prices.

It was the website for the same outlet I think?

Was the cheaper deal with the same provider you're already with? If so, they wouldn't be able to put you on this as you're not a 'new' customer. You'd either have to start a new contract with a new number, or port your current number to a new network for a couple of days then port back.
Sounds like you got the best deal for your situation.

Does annoy me that new customers get better deals though
