On the Savings forum people new joiners endlessly ask the same questions (eg I found a great savings rate from London Capital & Finance. Is there a catch?)
That's because the "Search this forum" text is almost invisible on a busy page, whereas the "New Thread" button is obvious.
Please could the forum search be changed to a button identical to "New Thread" and placed beside it.

With some forum software (such as Xenforo) when you are typing in the title of a new thread, it searches for similarly titled threads and shows them in a drop down, a bit like Google. This makes it very easy for new posters to discover similar threads to the one they are about to start.0
