Morning everyone,
Am pleased to say that the cream is doing its job and Rosie's paw is not looking so angry and red, she seems much happier as well.
Was in the middle of a post earlier this morning when had a call from farrier to say that if could get over yard in next 45 mins he could be there to put Lulu's shoe back in so drove over. All ok now and lovely girl is ready for the big move on Friday.
We were going into Cambridge this morning to pick up a few bits for the house, we need a new toaster as the current one is down from 4 slots to 2 and is behaving erratically, would also like to replace my big casserole dish. My budget won't stretch to the posh french brand but was going to have a look in Mr Sparks as the last one I got from there lasted years and is only just starting to lose its non-stickiness. Was also going to look in JL for some padding and Velcro to make a cafetière cosie, saw one on a blog the other today and thought what an excellent idea for keeping the coffee warm right down the pot. It will alll wait for another day.
Think tea will be some of the cold gammon with veg etc, it was a lovely flavoured bit of meat so won't to make it last.
Please take careful yourself too Dumping you have had so much in your plate lately.
That's certainly a step forward Camelot.
One of the advantages of staying put TA is no moving expenses etc.
Sitting here writing this and can see a little bird, blue tit I think, having a look in the nesting box, it certainly feels spring like with the warmer, sunny weather today.
Have a good day folks x0 -
Afternoon all
We have been to the surgery again to collect Mr Fix It's missing item from last week, but the repeat is still not correct ! Oh I give up ! We will go to the little surgery next time, they are lovely and helpful and will sort it out tout suite
Called in Tes*o for bread and milk and treated myself to some new cutlery. Bought some faggots from in the market ready for faggots and peas on Wednesday. Oh I have such expensive tastes...... not :rotfl:
Later I shall get stuck into the ironing, there's not much, but even that's too much for me. I also need to tidy my upstairs as things have not been put away properly . So that's me told off because I'm the guilty one
.
Mr Fix It has his orders to ring around some firms for some new double glazing quotes. Don't like to see him doing nothing while I'm ironing.
TA We would have no option but to move, as we are half way up a mountain and nothing is on the flat. Even if we could make our house "disabled friendly" we would still be housebound. I hope you can get a grant for at least some of the work.
I love comps I'm an only child too. I always wanted a sibling, however I have noticed that they are not always reliable in a crisis, or in fact on a day to day basis. At least you only have yourself to argue with
I must now go and do the ironing, I can't put it off any more. What's that I hear ? Have another coffee first ? Well Ok if you twist my arm :rotfl:.
For those sleepless I shall send the Sandman and healing vibes to the poorly. Take care all and everyone gets a hug from me.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Lainey I'm pleased that Rosie is feeling happier. I'll keep the healing vibes going or her.
I'm not looking forward to the next month; I have no Canine guest now til 22nd Feb which leaves the way open for the BD to make himself right at home. Unfortunately, I'm on the strongest dose of my anti-d medication (600mg per day) so there's nothing more the GP can do to help; I'll just have to try and tough it out. I feel guilty feeling like this; I mean yes, I have a lot of worries - Mr LW's health being at the top of the list - but nothing like some of the carp some of you folks are having to deal with in life. It's just my hinky brain chemistry I guess. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LW, you have no need to feel apologetic, life has thrown enough at you to make most people hide under the bedcovers whimpering. I have always admired your strength.0

LW do you have an SAD lamp to help you through this dark month? Or maybe you could take your DH for walkies twice a day?!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Evening all,
Im whacked. Ive had Diva all day and shes had about half an hours sleep all day and whined through the rest of the time she was here.
Prodigal came this morning. He got fed and I've had to lay down a few ground rules. Hes took them better than his Dad...
Quiet night in front of the telly for me. Im not fit for anything else.
Have a good evening all and sleep well. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
