Does Virgin Media tv have full set of Discovery shows?

We have a full set of VM cable TV channels. I prefer to watch documentaries so watch a lot of Discovery Channel and National Geographic shows. Recently I was looking at the add on channels ( payable) you can get as an Amazon Prime member and it looked like Discovery on Prime has a lot more on offer than on VM Prime.
Is that true? Does any one know if a Prime Discovery sub gets you a lot more channels than you get for your VM TV sub? it's difficult to tell just by looking at the Discovery website but it looks like VM Discovery is only a subset and not so up to date. .

I was only thinking of the channels called Discovery so not Animal planet etc it's just when I look at what is on VM discovery it seems less interesting than what they are advertising on Discovery website. plus there is no discovery catch up or box sets on VM.0

There is a list of Virgin (and Sky) channels here

Easy then to compare v Amazon as to which (if indeed any) channels are missing.0 -

Advertising is the operative word, all of those shows are spread amongst the Discovery channels on Sky & Virgin both (plus more). There is no catch-up on Virgin for sure, the nearest thing would be the +1 channels. Or just wait 5 minutes and Discovery will repeat it (and repeat it and repeat it). There is a list of Virgin (and Sky) channels here

That's a good link, I've never seen that before...0 -
Thanks for all this. The annoying thing is the way the Discovery channel advertises on their web site, shows not currently running -
eg at present there as one about Homesteaders in Alaska spread all across their site banner but when you click on the link it says not currently available, Grrr.0
