I got someone on ignore, but I can still see that they have posted. Theres also an option to view their post aswell. Doesnt that defeat the purpose? I want to not even know that their post is there, I hate that person so much.
Sometimes my advice may not be great, but I'm not perfect and I do try my best. Please take this into account.

It's a default function of the vBulletin software; in both that it's enabled and in how it functions. Altering that functionality involves hacking the source forum php in non-trivial ways, so not something done easily. Even if a prebuilt 3rd party hack exists, it's something that needs quite significant testing.
I'm sure the techie team have or will consider it, but personally I can't see it being very likely.
But just my take on it......Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

No, I think that's normal with other forums I am on. The main thing is that you won't see what they have posted unless you actually choose to.I got someone on ignore, but I can still see that they have posted. Theres also an option to view their post aswell. Doesnt that defeat the purpose?0 -

Yes, I used that on some forums. You could completely remove from sight all posts and thread for or users. Could also do thread highlighting in colours for titles matching a wildcard/regex.
Was a big shame when it was no longer updated to work with newer Firefox.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Yes, I think that is quite important.
Without being aware of the existence/presence of an intervening post, albeit not the content, it can make a thread appear completely nonsensical at times.0
