Royal Mail - Redirection renewal cost

You would be amazed and what people never get round to updating. In a few places I've lived, particularly rental properties, I've had new bank cards, PIN, online banking login details, payslips, you name it, coming through the letterbox even though I've been living there for ages.0 -
I'd forward them the link below, and tell them any mail you received in Februrary will be returned with "recipient not resident at this address".

Renewal costs are the same price as setting up anew, so they're not correct in their claim it was cheaper. Perhaps they were mistaken, but if not, I'd be rather concerned about them misleading you. It's bad enough they've done this without consulting you. Don't let them walk all over you just because they're family."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0 -

They may get fed up of having to collect their mail all the time, especially if the OP is "out" and thus may decide to do a redirection to their own address. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
On a positive note they can only do this for four years
From the Royal Mail:
"If you are an existing Redirection customer you should receive an invite to renew your Redirection a few weeks before your current Redirection expires. Please note that the maximum a Redirection can run for is four years - any service already at this operational limit would not have a renewal option issued."0
