I have not once said that people will not get it if you go on the what is published data out there.
47% off applicants get pip at some stage of application including MR and tribunal
20% of them get it at MR stage
65% at Tribunal stage
so that is 85% of the 47% being awarded it at an appeal stage which shows a majority of people are being rejected at application stage.
No.
You have completely misunderstood, Hoogle.
20% of unsuccessful applications succeed at MR.
65% of the 80% unsuccessful MR's succeed at tribunal.
You would need to know the numbers involved to derive the correct percentages.
I'm sorry to say you are posting nonsense.

I am prepared for failure but hope for success.
Will send an amendment.., it can't do any harm I would hope.0 -
I give up I am wrong even though my stats may not be current or portrayed correct out of everyone that applies 53% never receives pip so based on that alone to me that is fair to say that there is a high chance that your application could be rejected on initial stage. But let people believe they will get it everyone is a winner in this delicate world. But for people out their that are open to facing reality you may not get pip at application form stage but make sure you fight for it if you believe you are entitled to it as sometimes you do not have a fair assessment initially, and they may not look at supporting evidence that explains your situation better than the few check boxes options you get on the form.0

OK but even if it was 80% failure rate, there are 20% who get through. You don't know who will get through and who won't. It not only depends on how well they make their case, it also depends on who they are assessed by.
So lets see what happens. If I don't get it first round, the fact that I am on MSE should indicate I will see it through. I should get it but it may go to appeal.
But that's for me to decide.
I'm not overly sure why you posted on this thread. Were you trying to be helpful or just wanted to vent? Starting your own thread might be a better idea?0 -

The only reason I posted was in my opinion and i can only state my opinion is I would wait til you get your initial decision and if you are not happy with the outcome it is at mandatory reconsideration that you can put your case forward clearer as you get to write a letter which allows you to explain in greater detail and will be read, where as supporting evidence may not be read on initial application. If you keep your MR factual and to the point explaining your needs better my PERSONAL EXPERIENCE will give you a better chance than sending a supporting letter now. However it is early stages and probably a christmas backlog so their is a chance your claim has not been forwarded onto capita/atos so your supporting letter may get to them at the same time but allow 14 days from postage (unless you send it tracked and recorded) for the DWP to receive your letter and scan it onto your file and hope it gets to the assessors at the same time.0

Deannatrois, forget all the bad stories you read about PIP and focus on YOUR claim. There are good stories out there but we don't often hear about them. The reason is because if someone has an award they're happy with then they have no questions to ask, so we don't hear their stories.
Myself and my daughter were both successful first time. Myself for physical and my daughter purely on mental health. Good luck with your claim.0 -
I'd write a letter, specifically referencing the ruling about psychological distress, and giving the information about how you meet the descriptor. Then make sure you give the full answer again at the face to face.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
