Hi, I’ve had quite a few credit cards in the past, most of them over five years ago, and I’d like to check if i had PPI on them, and if so I’d like to claim it back myself, but I’m just beginning this, can anyone tell me the best way to check if i had PPI on anything, and the best way to claim it back myself please ?

Contact your lenders.

If you had PPI, make a valid mis-selling complaint.

Thanks guys, I’ve set up a resolver account, will that tell me if I’ve ever had PPI with a card provider ?

No. It just slows down communication with the lender.

So you’ve just got to put in a claim with a card you know you’ve had, even if you don’t know if ppi was on that card ?

No. Find out if you had PPI, at the very least.

Then put in your complaint reasons. Not a claim.

How would i find out if I had ppi ? My own surviving documentation or does the provider have to tell me if I asked them, or is there another way ?

Phone them up and ask if you had it.
If they don't know or can't find you, you need to send a SAR and £10.

Thanks, but what is a SAR, and why £10, i am new to this and on a learning curve, a good one thanks to you lads ! ��
