Ryan, I very much doubt if the PPC called it a fine.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Yes, in the title of the thread. And then the very first line of the body of the text.

    Nope wrong again!

It says Parking charge notice in the body of the post, the use of inverted commas should give you a clue!

You could be right, but without telepathic powers we cannot be sure.
If you were not the driver write to the parking firm and tell them who was so they CANNOT hold you liable. The person who was driving the car is responsible so let them deal with it. Not you! Don’t let people with an agenda tell you otherwise.

I’m just going off what the OP said as it’s unclear why he would say “fine” otherwise, but you’re probably right.

what the hell has this to do with the DVLA ?? they did (prior to nov 2012) give info to an interested party .

    pre pofa2012 , pre v888/1 v888/2 , v888/3 or kodoe electronic ,

yes folks remember PRE october 2012 , so no keeper liability

I would very much like to see the signage (if available) and the contract , as at the time stated VCS held the contract at Royal Victoria Hospital

Ryan you are sending the OP off on a wild goose chase. Kindly stop derailing good advice.

the OP is paraphrasing by using the word "fine" in parentheses and its quite clear to 99% of us that he is using the slang word for these invoices

ie: he used a vernacular term to denote the widely used expression for what these notices are generally known as , but the OP is not saying and has never implied that his paperwork has that word on it (it wont)

we dont need telepathic powers to know what he means , and we also know it wont "wash" in court because they will deny it ever being said

its like using the word "dosh" for cash , or "sponduliks" , or "sherbert" for a beer

the quotatation marks said it all

its a no no as far as defending this court claim and should never have been brought up as it will distract the OP from dealing with his important defence which starts with NO KEEPER LIABILITY (like in Scotland) because there was no POFA2012 in august 2012

You are well aware that newbies regularly mistakenly refer to these pcns as "fines" without fully appreciating the difference

    Who can blame them?

Even the forum title refers to fines

I think the forum title says “fines” as people are welcome to post about the statutory fines on here. But you’re right it could be clearer.

Hi, i received a “parking fine” in August of 2012 in a private car park, i had dropped my disabled wife off in Newcastle while i went to the Royal Victoria Hospital to do voluntary work taking sick children to the Medicinema inside the hospital.

i parked in a car park and displayed my wifes disabled badge, however when i returned to my car it had a parking charge notice attached to it, the advice at the time was just ignore it and no matter what letter comes through the door just ignore it, however recently it was a company called bw legal sending letters and have now filed a claim in Northampton County Court.

im at a loss as to what to do next,

ive filed an AOS and applied for the extra time to contest this claim, any help from here on in will be greatly appreciated

Bringing this back on topic, and ignoring Ryan's latest attempt to lead a poster up the garden path, and to take the thread off on a tangent, search the forum for Excel 2012 claim, and read all the other example defences.

Use a recent 2017 one as a base.

Add your extra points as defendant, e.g., this very valid defence point by Castle:
Back in 2012 BPA members shouldn't issue a ticket to a vehicle showing a valid Blue Badge, (Section 16.5):-
    http://www.britishparking.co.uk/write/Documents/AOS/BPA__Code_of_Practice_-_October_2012_-_Version_6.pdf

And show us the draft defence you then get.

Please don't follow misleading advice from any niggly poster who carries a misleading signature that actually tells posters to admit who was driving. Make of it what you will!
