Looks like NatWest have stolen my money?

Dear eskbanker,
Thank you for your explanation about «to comply with their most recent requests».
Of course I do my best.
Apparently you do not know yet another words: «extortion», «procrastination», «manipulation» and «fraud» — all for playing with another people money, all from the arsenal of fraudsters.
I'm sorry, but only an idiot can trust a bank which conduct the way Natwest does — which is a clear fraud. They have an absolutely certain confirmation of my identity, even more than just one confirmation.
And because I do not trust them any more and have no reasons to trust, which is I think quite obvious now — I spell out here this case.
However hard you and your likenesses here are trying to compromise me and my issue with NatWest — other people can/should make their inference without your help.
Thank you.
You seem to be completely missing the point.
They have your money.
You want it.
So do as they ask.
Simple.
You can rant and rave.
You can feel aggrieved.
You can play the innocent foreigner / victim card.
etc
but it won't get you your money.
The advice already given, will. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
Zanderman,
Thank you, I do not seek particularly for advices — please, believe me, I've made all this way already, I write here not like they've done it yesterday.
They ignore you. That's it.
I have complained many times. The story lasts for more than a year.
NatWest does ignore complains from their former customers — the customers they've got rid off the way described above.
I must say that they've been very nice, prompt and helpful but just while you are their client.
As soon as they've got a hold of your money, it's almost like you do not exist for them as a human: manipulations, ignoring, playing murky games, procrastinations.
Not a single apologize that they've created such a mess which was very easy to avoid: just inform people properly by damn phone or damn email! Just get in damn touch!
It's like I said — they do have absolutely certain confirmations of my identity.
They just procrastinate and every time they invent new reasons. They disregard their own requirement as soon as they are followed and they've got documents they've required with all affidavits and possibilities to contact the authorities who issued those certifications.
I have no idea for how long they schemed to hold my money, they do not hold their own word.
It's sad and appalling but: at no point they've demonstrated a good will to return my savings, instead they did their best from the very beginning to make this case complicated, long and near hopeless.0 -
Dear mgdavid,
I did all they required. They asked for «contact details could be traced on the Internet».
I said that the authority certifying my ID does have contact details on the Internet: I sent them a link to a web-site of the institution with all contacts: institutional and personal (actually they could have checked on this on their own in a moment, they've just invented a way to ignore it).
They redefine their requirement as soon as you comply. For how long it can last?
I have no guaranties that they do not reject whatever I can send them, whatever I do.
Again: it's absolutely certain that they have all required documents from me.
I describe their attitude and conduct. That's it.
People should know this.0 -
I can understand that you are feeling annoyed and upset I think I would feel the same if I was in your position
it is difficult to give you any advice but one thing you could try is contacting one of the newspapers here in the money section for example Tony Hetherington in the Daily Mail but other newspapers have similar people who help their readers with financial matters
I would only contact one as they don't like it if you contact lots of them. Also try to get some help in framing your letter to them as I think it is better if it is short and to the point
There is no guarantee that they will help you but they do have contacts inside the bank who can at least try and get some sort of resolution0 -
You've obviously not done what Natwest have asked or you would have received your money by now.
Who was the "known person" who certified your documents and what is their profession ? This is what they have to verify, not just looking someone up on a website. Once you send them what they ask for, they will release your money.0 -
Dear Heypt.
Obvious troll is obvious. 1/10, must try harder.
Kind regards, Camelot19710 -
There's nothing on the telly tonight - this is getting funny very funny LOL0

At very least they took possession of my money for more than a year, unless forever. as they ignore my messages now and refuse to reply.
Wouldn't it have been far simpler if your returned to the UK. Went to the branch that held your account, provide evidence of who you were, and withdrew your money in cash.
Attempting to deal with the matter at a distance simply won't work in this day and age.0 -
I'd love to hear NatWest's version of this story. Given that the FOS has sided with them, there is a lot we haven't been told yet.0
