Hi
Arrived at Heathrow at 9am to find my 12.05 Air Canada flight cancelled, they had emailed at 5.30am to tell me (I hadn’t seen the email) we were put on a flight 24hrs later.
I’ve tried to claim but they’re rejecting the claim due to weather!! the weather was fine at Heathrow, the plane was coming from Halifax (Canada) but didn’t take off due to weather.
Would I be best pursing this with the ombudsman? I didn’t think the weather would come into it in this case?

The question is, once it became clear that the incoming plane was cancelled, were there any reasonable steps the airline could have taken to prevent the cancellation of your flight? If yes, you are due compensation. If no, you are not.
Air Canada is signed up with AviationADR so you could file a complaint there.0 -
This is what I had thought but I’m not too sure how to approach it, I opened case using resolver I had looked at that ombudsman but it asks I’ve had a “final” response from Air Canada??0

have you put the flight details through EUclaim or bottonline to see who they agree with?0

I’ve just done that and they both suggest I should use them to claim0

I'd go through AviationADR before handing it over to Bott and Co. The fact that the latter say you have a claim means very little.0
