can an employer change the overtime cut off date?

Traditionally a tough month for those incapable of sticking to a budget and somehow making that their employers fault.
Not at all, I've stuck to a budget however the extra 10 days has meant a double of some DD's coming out of one months pay.Dwy galon, un dyhead,

but overtime pay paid anytime is better than no overtime...hence no overtime pay at all.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

That's just not true. The date you are paid is largely irrelevant.
If you were paid a full 12 months in advance, would you say the same thing?
It is true, given that I have some DD's coming out of my bank on the 16th & I was paid on the 15th Dec & wont be paid again until the 25th Jane, it means that the DD's coming out on the 16th occur twice in one pay period.
Edit: If I can have 12 months worth of DD's paid in advance it wouldn't be an issue.Dwy galon, un dyhead,

You were presumably also paid on the 25Th NOVEMBER, which would cover your December DDs....It is true, given that I have some DD's coming out of my bank on the 16th & I was paid on the 15th Dec & wont be paid again until the 25th Jane, it means that the DD's coming out on the 16th occur twice in one pay period.

December pay covers Jan, Jan covers Feb....0 -

I think your response is uncalled for.
The poster does not show they cannot budget - they have had the goalposts moved so that the extra pay they were counting on is going to be delayed in its receipt.0 -

Excuse me? I am more than capable of budgeting that you very much, I merely stated that I found this month a stretch because I was paid 10 days earlier than normal in the month.Dwy galon, un dyhead,
