Hi all!
As above, So usually our cut of would be the 17th but I've just found out its been changed to the 7th. basically that means we would miss 10 days of overtime that would have gone into January pay.
No one has made us aware that it has changed at any point, It was by pure fluke we found out.
Really disappointed as this is the only time any extra money can be made. I understand that that anything from the 8th extra goes into febs pay so we will get it anyway but I'm just annoyed they haven't told us.
Thanks in advance for your help

The basic answer is "They have done it". Unless there is anything in writing in your contract I don't see that there is much you can do about it. Poor management not to inform staff of the change but that's about all.0

The short answer is it will be February's payday before you can take any meaningful action anyway.
So why bother?0 -

Totally agree. Especially relating to a January pay.
A push back to your line manager/HR wouldnt go a wrong to simply raise it could have been handled better.0 -
Yes I appreciate that, you've missed my point entirely though.hartleysjam wrote: »Because It relates to our pay and it would be nice to know that they have changed it. Pretty obvious really.
The money will be paid in February, you now know the change, it wont affect any future months.
You have no recourse to get it paid sooner, unless it is via goodwill. So why rock the boat?0 -
Traditionally a tough month for those on monthly pay, due to xmas and it generally being a longer time between wage payments.
Bloody right you are, was paid a whole 10 days early by my employers!!Dwy galon, un dyhead,
Dwy dafod ond un iaith,
Dwy raff yn cydio’n ddolen,
Dau enaid ond un taith.0
