Help Urgent HMRC court date Rolls Building

Options
Hi all,

To cut a long story short,

I owe HMRC £227,765 in VAT NI PAYE and CIS Tax

Iv had several visits before from them and had different proposals offered all to which I stupidly ignored.

Iv now been sent a letter for a court date in the high court of justice in the Rolls building for the case of myself VS HMRC I have 10 employees who don't yet know, should I tell them?

Any help on what I can do to no reason with them?

Thanks in advance

That kind of money is serious scamming territory. Im assuming you dont have the money to pay? Will you be able to pay it at some point in the future?
  • I'm owed around £600k all of which has now been invoiced.

    My court date is 07/02/18

I have a horrible feeling, should I just take voluntary insolvency before the hearing?

But if it's YOU vs HMRC, they'll take your house, your car, your TV.....

Right youve got nearly 3 weeks to contact people pleading for them to pay you asap id encourage you to do this.

It wont make a difference, the case is against you. I suspect insolvency is ultimately where the business will end up. I can imagine there will also be a few who would consider delaying payment if a company had gone insolvent which wouldnt help you either.
  • So it's not good good then basically, is there no way they will let me set up a payment plan?

You aren't providing enough information, but on the basis of the above, no. You had that chance.

Can you perhaps share abit of background?
  • Is it possible to share the image on here? Of the court letter

NO-ONE needs to see the court letter. There's only so much information on there that is actually useful and you can just type that out.

What people need is for YOU to start explaining the background to this!

If you don't, then you're wasting your own time. No-one will be able to help you here.

What does your accountant say, you do have one don't you?

Good luck telling your employees that they're going to be unemployed because of your incompetence.
  • I don't have one.
