Meter on wrong pipe - no usage

in Water bills
Hi all,
I moved into my flat around 9 months ago, it used to be a launderette before it was converted and there is more than one water pipe entering the property. There was an issue a while ago with the pipes and they had to dig them up to repair them and I think they have put the meter on the wrong one, it appears that I haven't used any water in the last 6 months.
Do I tell them of their mistake? Am I liable to pay an estimated bill? Will they ever know?
Thanks,
Al

When the water co twig, which they will do eventually, they will bill you based on an estimated usage.
