I'm not complaining about the price, I'm complaining about being quoted one thing for my authorisation, then charged another, then when querying this, being screamed at and having the phone slammed on me.0

Best thing you can do now, is vent your unhappiness on google reviews and other social media sites like facebook. Often companies will post up on a local facebook group so you can be there with a "comment".0

So there is no way I can get my money back? Small courts or complaining to my bank (paid on credit card) would be fruitless??0

Unless you heard a pre-recorded message about calls being recorded then it won't have been recorded. There is no legal requirement for companies to record calls, and a small business like a service garage is highly unlikely to do so.0

maybe just maybe you misheard the quoted price or did not fully understand the quote in general imo yu were not ripped off0

I did not mishear the quote. Maybe, just maybe you are clutching at straws there. I wrote the quote down as he told me it and repeated it back to him.
Lesson learned will always get quotes emailed to me.0 -
Definitely get quotes in writing going forward. It'll save any surprises in the future.Debt-free by January 1st, 2019.
