Having a lazy day as I had a very busy few days with family over and spent yesterday volunteering at the library. Cleaner has been over for an hour to give me a hand with changing beds etc.
All laundry is now dry and just needs putting away and kitchen is much tidier now all dishes and pots are done. An Appro*ed Foods delivery has just arrived and needs unpacking and another set of skinny velvet hangers have been ordered as the ones I have used to replace the older hangers have made more space in my wardrobe but are nice and sturdy as well.
Home made lasagne is defrosting for tonight and am going to phone a dd to see if she fancies going to see a film tomorrow in York.

Had a weird sort of day! Started with great intentions, however soon got bogged down by other people putting their oars in, complicating matters and being idiots - all over email. I eventually put up an OOO automatic reply on that account.
Spent a while doing some work with my online students, sent out fifteeen emails which varied between 'well done' to 'where on earth are you, no work since September last year'. Then had to write all that up on individual contact sheets.
Did two trips to the barn for wood in between rain, snow, hail. Once the wood is used up I'll go to bed with the electric blanket on.
A friend sent me a text last night saying she was drinking naff wine. I think there's no point drinking naff wine. I've ordered some less than naff wine for her and her husband - a weak moment! That's my good deed for the month.
The dishwasher has been filled and emptied. I'm still eating cold chicken and fried potatoes for lunch, should be the last portion tomorrow.
Judi - there is no easy answer. Whatever you do will upset someone somewhere. From my own experience I would say 'protect yourself' from emotional, mental and physical harm.
Could be time for some chilled 'grape juice' - think I need it after the twits I've had to deal with today!0 -
Judi do any of the addict family support groups have ideas to help in your predicament with Prodigal?

Hi everyone,
Sorry so many of you are having ‘difficult’ times, but thank you for showing me how to cope:T.
We have had the high winds - the bird feeder was on the floor for the third time in three days:(
However, still undamaged & DH has now removed the base & staked it into the ground - let us hope that helps!
Picked up & binned a few bits of rubbish blown in from who knows where.
Visited new cs - ICommunity with three large bags of items from wool to crockery! I am really looking forward to donating items. Finally met Jay (co-founder with Natalie) they are just so enthused. May have been roped in to providing a few baked goods when they are a bit more organised:eek:
Just off to the kitchen to sort out Chicken pie, mash & roasted veg for tonight.
Have a good evening & night one & all.

Not been around much due to Life the Universe and Everything getting in the way; not had chance to read back properly, so tidy piles of (((HUGS))) posivibes and spoons on the table; help yourselves as appropriate.

TA, yes, My hairdresser turned up. Mind, she did ring just before I left home to see if I was still coming, she said she'd had some cancellations from customers. They must have lived in outlying areas.
I'm not surprised you're annoyed with your hair dresser, sounds as if she's losing a good customer.
Judi - thanks for the tip about staying upright!!0
