Mmm. So that's once a year or more?

In the meantime, let's say a stone goes through the radiator...

I don't think you understand this thread.
The light came on and I booked it in (as its under warranty), ive topped it up and I will keep an eye on it until Monday when BMW will be looking at it.

I'm doing exactly what should be done; getting it looked at!

The purpose of the tread is to find out if any other 330e owners have experienced this problem (I'm hedging my bets its just an air pocket but why take the risk, hence why its booked in).

Ive already told you the car checks the tyre pressure and the fluids (that's how I knew it was low on coolant).

The point of buying a car like this is that it has the necessary computers built in to do these checks. if I had bought a car that dosent have these gadgets, then yes I would be checking the car on a regular basis.

I think your just being unhelpful (you don't seem to have one nor have you helped address my question).

since 2002 ive owned approx 6 brand new BMW's and ive never checked them, ive never had a problem (they go to the dealership as per the service schedule). Oh the car tells me that too!

I’ve seen problems with the Bmw tyre monitors so would I trust the car on coolant levels? Er no, not a chance.

If a stone goes through the radiator (act of god) i would probably break down due to loss of water (if it brakes down, call BMW assist).

    Simple

Not much i can do about a stone going into the radiator

Thats you not me (your choice entirely not to trust a car).

    Try nitrogen

I did trust the car re: coolant and the car was correct, the coolant was low (your crazy if you think m going to ignore the car telling me its low on coolant)

If your car told you it was low on engine oil would you not trust the car and ingore it?

    Bad example on a BMW.

It'd probably be a good idea to stop when the low coolant light comes on, y'know, rather than wait until you've killed the engine.

Answer the question - are you going to ignore the warning message?

    let me start again.

Warning light came on saying coolant low (i check it and the coolant is low, so i top it up).

I feel that coolant should not be low after just 7 months of usage so i call BMW and get it booked in (its under warranty).

Ive seen on some forums that others with 330e have had this problem (some had parts chnaged, other said it was just an air pocket).

im simply asking others on this forum who have 330e's if they have experienced this same issue.

    SIMPLE!
