You are not doing as told, which is to READ THE NEWBIES THREAD
What does the VERY first bit tell you?
If you cant be bothered to read a very helpful post, which takes you by the hand through constructing a defence (post 2), why should we bang our heads against the wall here?0 -

i am not asking how to construct a defence, I am asking if there is any defence0 -
Yes, without a doubt you have a defence. But you need to understand that this isn't just a defence about this situation, it's a defence that can also mention Gladstones tactics, the lack of particulars and evidence pre-court, etc.
Just as you see in any other UKCPM defence thread.
We have loads here, and the forum is easy to search - just put in UKCPM court defence and 'go advanced' search and change the default to 'show posts' (NOT default 'THREADS'). Here's another typical UKCPM one from this first page, also posted today, where a poster has used one of the defence examples in the NEWBIES thread and put together his version. Honestly this is all that's needed, edit & create your own like this:

No, because there is no risk involved. What I mean is:I am wondering whether we should submit a defense and run the risk of losing or should we just pay.
- we win 99% of defended cases here (honestly)
- even if a person loses, they then just pay what the Judge says, likely to be LESS than the £200+ claim! So you can see why not to cough up some £250-odd, worried about a risk of paying either nothing (if she wins) or less than £200 (if she loses). Honestly, this is a no-brainer. Defend!
The losing party has 30 days to pay and no CCJ, nothing on her credit rating. And we don't think she is at all likely to lose, from what you have described.
Why not also read some Gladstones claims won recently, we only had a UKCPM win (case won by the defendant of course) posted last week! Search 'won hearing Judge UKCPM' or similar keywords & advance search/change to 'show POSTS' (every time).
She should keep a note of all her hours, at £19 an hour, plus other costs, travel to a hearing, etc. to get back if/when she wins. If it helps, you can accompany her to speak as her 'lay rep' on the day.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
