We’d like to remind Forumites to please avoid political debate on the Forum.
This is to keep it a safe and useful space for MoneySaving discussions. Threads that are – or become – political in nature may be removed in line with the Forum’s rules. Thank you for your understanding.
PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. Please also avoid posting personally identifiable information, including links to your own online property listing which may reveal your address. Thank you for your understanding.

It has come to my attention that recently there has been a glut of people starting BUY TO LET related threads.
Please can we have no more started. The topic has been done to death so far, but if people feel they need to discuss it more then please use the Singing Pig website. Any other threads started will be deleted.
Also when people ask a simple question about BUY TO LET, if members can refrain from posting that they are wasting there money as a housing crash is coming that would be appreciated. People ask for advice on their particular problem, and having some users continually state that they are stupid and doom is coming is not helpful at all to the boards, although it may well be true.
Thanks very much.
Also please do not discuss high house prices as it may affect public sentiment and I have a vested interest as a homeowner in seeing prices rise above any reasonable level.

Is this a joke posting?
Not sure how helpful it is to not discuss a certain subject just because some people are tired of it. If you don't want to join in a discussion can you not just ignore the thread?
There are new people (like me) stumbling across MSE all the time, do we miss out on discussing certain topics merely because we 'turned up late'?0 -
Exactly my point/joke..
See the sticky

If I were a moderator, not that I will, or would ever want to be, then I would not delete any posts about any housing related issues.
You didn't get it did you...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Why don't you slink off back to HPC.com where you and your ilk can all whine together about how unfair the market forces are....0
