Morning all, Dumpling I'm thinking of you and Becky today. At least, I am as far as I can manage rational thought. I think I'm getting better but so tired and foggy. I was very restless and came downstairs at 1.00, read and have had a map.
We had snow last night but it didn't stick at all. Gritters were out and I saw the gritter name link, lovely. I don't know if ours have names as they don't come down little roads. But years and years ago, in the 70s, the name of the chief of binmen was on the side of each dustbin lorry and he was called J. B. Smellie.
I'm going back to bed in a bit, hope everyone has a good dayI was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -

I told her all about the appointment I had and how I could be called anytime for a cancellation her response... well I hope not how will I manage, I dont see what the rush is  thats her after seeing me all day in lots of pain ....oh I can see the rush oK and with an added bonus of 7 weeks off morrisons I loathe that shop with a passion now :rotfl:
So scraps of work done this morning but I did fit in two washes and ill get the slow cooker going soon for some freezer stock of beef and mushroom in red wineDont think I want that for dinner though so may grab out a haddock fish cake and make a salad to go with it feeling the need for something healthy ish

'Prodigal' came this morning to have something to eat and to use my pc. How come i only see my kids when they want something from me?
Prodigal has pinched my pen which means he has been in my computer drawer. I havent mislaid it i asked him to pass my pen as i needed to write something down and he pulled it out of his pocket. It might only be a pen but sod it he cant leave anything alone. I dont understand, he certainly wasnt bought up this way. I told him if he had needed a pen i would have given him one but not to take stuff without asking.
Grump is moaning he has broken a tooth and 'Ginge' the hound is milking the fact she had a bad leg. She prefers to be carried up and down the stairs now.....yeah, as though i'm going to continue that now she is better.

Afternoon all. Sorry I'm late again, please don't give me detention !
We had snow last night but the gritter was in overdrive as it went across our road several times. Woke up to icy pavements and car windscreens as the snow had frozen during the night, however the roads were clear after all the grit. Think there may be more snow to come as I've still got this rotten headache.
Had a plan for today, was going to change the bed, wash the bedding and clean through upstairs. Then steam clean the kitchen floor and make a start on cleaning the dining room carpet. Managed to do the first two . (Epic fail, apologies OSers ). Then had an emergency call from the hairdressers. My appointment was for next week but she had 2 cancellations today so she asked if I was available to reschedule. So now I look a bit less like a dulux dog and more like a border terrier :rotfl:.
Anyway I'm back and having a quick coffee or two, before I remake the bed and hoover. The rest will have to wait a little longer. Goodness knows when that will be as I am out tomorrow, Fri and possibly Saturday.
Tea tonight will be an easy bacon and egg etc. good job too, as I can't stand this hustle and bustle, hurrying and scurrying. My body was not made for speed, I'm more the tortoise than the hare :rotfl:.
Have only skim read the posts today and can't remember much, so will do the bedroom and then have a proper read. Wouldn't like to miss anything.
Hugs to all the poorly, sad or worried. Take care all, keep warm and safe.

Popping in to say I have returned after the burglary. I have replaced my laptop and mobile phone and dug out an old handbag and purse.
I have been reading along on a tiny tablet.
So ugs and spoons to all and have a good rest of the day.. More from me tomorrow when I am a bit more used to this laptop.

The ones up here haven't got names. Very sad!

I was seriously cross this morning! Hair appt at 10.00 and on the bus co. website it said buses were running up here on the main road only. So I donned my snow gear and tramped my way to the nearest bus stop. Bus duly arrived and I got to the hairdressers just before 10.00 to find it in darkness and the door locked! I went in M & S nearby to kill a bit of time and went back, then back again. By 10.30 neither hairdresser had arrived and I was getting cold and cross so headed for the bus back home. I have been going there for 10 years at least and if she couldn't let me know she wasn't able to get in then tough! She has lost a customer and I am on the lookout for another hairdresser! Grr!
I got the full story of last night's nightmare journey and subsequent hotel stay in Bradford for DD and DGD and the other two children she was chaperoning.. It sounded horrendous. But the children thought it was a big adventure, especially when it ended by staying in a hotel overnight and breakfast in Wetherspoons this morning! DD had been in constant touch with other girls' mums and they were totally in agreement to them staying safely in Bradford until the roads were clear enough to drive home safely this morning. DGD is in tomorrow's matinee performance and DD is chaperoning again and ferrying two more children there and back. The forecast is for more snow but it's unclear yet as to whether we will get it or just miss it. Fingers crossed for the latter.
Mr TA has just gone up for a soak in the bath, clutching 2 cd's. I guess he's planning on being up there for some time! For a change I will be in charge of the tv remote! I might see what's on Talking Pictures, can't beat a good old film.
Have a nice evening folks and I hope all is going as well as it can do xxx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
