Data protection breach

Options
Hello this isn’t to do with banking however I did see posts regards to data protection breach and was looking for advice I have a friend 22yo and in sept she made a call to virgins helpline for help regards her tv was put through to foreign helpline the person she spoke to on the phone asked to add her on Facebook out of fear and knowing he had her details in front of him or can have access to it said yes however gave a false name she didn’t want to say no and infuriate him and him use her details so she thought forward thinking if she gave him a misspelled name however he contacted her on Facebook but it said this person used her phone number to contact so he alias name she gave didn’t matter as he used her number this happened in June she tried to ignore it As she had very serious personal matter and suffers with enough anxiety that she didn’t want any more trouble he proceeded to contact her again in July this time a voice note on messanger of him signing in Arabic or another foreign language but that’s what she said it sounded like and finally on instagram end of August he contacted again that she saw late on a message request. She then contact virgin and ask for no repercussions other than the standard as she was too anxious and worried that this person had her details and could do anything this was beginning of September now after months and months of non stop calling them asking for progress constantly speaking to someone new giving her the same I’m taking this serious it’s disgusting leave it with me she may get 1 call back then nothing n she’s back to chasing it up we are now half way through January apparently it’s at executive complaint she was offered 2 months free off her bill she has since ended her contract at the end of December and that offer is no where near substatial to the hours she has to spend at work calling them as they open 9-5 and that’s the hours she works the constant lies and dishonesty and just feeling like it’s not being dealt with properly she’s now printed an ICO application but was wondering;
what are the best steps to take it further
Is there a helpline to call?
What compensation would she be looking at?
What’s the best ways without going to a solicitors she’s young and doesn’t have a lot of money and would rather solve the issue without court as she has work and a child to send to a minder

Also this is a 22yo old girl who lives on her own in her own home and has a 3yo and has been dealing with this non stop calling and complain trying to taking it further going on for now 4-5 months what should I advice?

    You may get some responses if you take the time to format that massive block of text into something more intelligible by using sentences and paragraphs, as it is it's pretty impenetrable....

    Having said that, as you acknowledge, this has nothing to do with banking so you might be better off posting on more suitable boards, such as the consumer rights one?

    Indeed - the paragraph police need to be involved here.

    Virgin Media are open to 10pm, not 9 - 5, but would suggest she either contacts the police or speak to virgin again when its not so busy and she isnt at work, and when her children are in bed.

    As others have said putting paragraphs in will help you get some answers but you have posted this in the banking and you may find better support in the Consumer thread

    Just block the phone number and on whatsapp?

    Your post isn't coherent and is full of contradictions. June? September?
