Are you getting work done to the wall on which the TV will be on. If so, could you alter the wall so the TV is in a cubby hole/nook. Not like this but here's a pic for an idea of what I mean, not all that fancy stuff around it, just the nook.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

We had builder call today with his electrician to check things out before they start on alterations, she asked electrician about putting mains and ariel socket above new radiator for tv, he was dead against it, and more or less said he would not do it. It has sorted it though, she has accepted there won’t be a tv, as I have said I’m not bothered, she’s a bit miffed, it’s probably going to end up costing me for some extra kitchen gadget or something. Thanks for all the advice.0

if had my 50inch led tv mounted 40cm above my radiator for 3 years....never had a problem0
